The Willington Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars received important recognition in August 2017--the national organization Scholarship America chose it as the National Chapter of the Year!  Robert Ballard, President and CEO of Scholarship America, offered these warm congratulations:

Your organization was selected for this award by members of our Student Success Programs team. While they were thoroughly impressed with all the nominations, it was clear that your chapter was the outstanding choice. Your years of dedicated service have created life-changing opportunities for students in your community, and your achievements are an inspiration for other communities. . . .  

Dollars for Scholars is the program it is today because of chapters like yours. Scholarship America will surely look to your organization as a model to help shape the future of the Dollars for Scholars program. Everyone involved with the Willington Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars should be incredibly proud of its achievements. 

The WSFDFS Board of Directors is deeply honored with this award, which comes with a $3,000 monetary donation to their scholarship program, as well as national recognition through Scholarship America publications. It recognizes their hard work over the past two years developing renewable scholarships and new funding sources.  And it reflects on the generosity of the whole Willington community supporting its young scholars!
